Academy Lessons
The Othellos' are given the same opportunities as students across Ariel’s academies, and with the support of their hard working teachers, have risen to the challenge. Students have gained distinctions in L.A.M.D.A. (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) exams, performed in productions such as Les Misérables, Bugsy Malone and Parade and secured work in TV advertising campaigns with blue chip companies such as Sainsbury’s.

Ariel's Buddy System
The teaching in these groups is enhanced by the fact that the Othellos are supported in all classes by Ariel Academy Buddies. These Ariel Buddies are students of all ages who commit to helping and building close bonds with the Othellos, who can have a range of needs stemming from being wheelchair-bound to having conditions such as Downs', Asperger's Syndrome and Autism. However, in Othellos' classes, the Buddies enable the students to be treated equally and have the opportunity to dance, sing and act.
